My shampoo adventures… I’ve tried them all…😒

I can still feel the funny feeling of fuzzy new hair growth from the most recent biopsy…. As if I had any hair left to lose, here I am watching the nice little chunk of my scalp with my precious hair attached to it. sigh…. here we go again is all I could think. Let me go back a couple (30) years and explain the “struggles” I have had with hair products. So, since I was young, I have had allergies to pretty much EVERY single shampoo and conditioner I have ever used. In fact, I cannot think of one I didn’t end up having an issue with. That left me with dry, itchy scalp, hair loss (on top of the other health issues and prior meds, Plaquenil, that made my hair fall out.) I probably have about 1/3 of the hair I should have or had at once. Cool, right? Yeah… super cool *rolling eyes*. I have tried everything I can get my hands on. It’s great and then bam the next day or a week later (all different time frames), I’m right back to square one. So, I went to the derm for a little once over b/c I’m a Floridiot and I am out in the sun all the time since I was a little girl. I think it’s a good idea to just get checked out every once and a while and make sure you’re not riddled with some random cancer. I have these random (auto immune) spots that will come up and the hair/scalp issue. I can’t say I’m ready to give up trying to make it better, but I can tell you that I’m about as disheartened as I can be. I recently came across a hair oil from a company called HUIHUI essentials. I personally love them, I love the oil and it seems to relieve a lot of my issues as long as I’m using it. The only issue I have is that I can’t use it every day and when I am using it, my hair has oil in it. So, it isn’t really conducive to every day wearing/using. It’s great when I know I’m gonna wash my hair that day or I’m not leaving the house, or overnight, etc. Also, it’s recommended not to use more than twice a week. So, that left me with 4-5 days where I was gonna have the same old issues. I have used Arbonne products for many years and I like them. The shampoo and conditioner caused me the same issues though and I had to stop using it. Recently, a gf of mine sent me a message telling me they came out with a new line of hair products. I can tell you I am at that point that I just want to dismiss anything that comes along b/c I’m being a negative Nancy pants and I am sick of spending money to waste it on stuff that ends up in my mom or sister in law’s shower. It’s exhausting to say the least. My derm is a pretty cool guy and he told me he wasn’t ready to give up on me just yet. haha… ugh.. I’m THAT patient 😂 He hasn’t been dealing with me for 30 years though, I have. Well, I placed an order to try the new Arbonne skin care line and I needed to find a couple extra products to make up my $125 for $25…. so… hey… what the hey, why not… I’ll try the hair care. After all, Arbonne does give you a money back guarantee and lets you try their products risk free. Nothing to lose, right? So, here’s how it went. I went to the derm, had a biopsy, got an Rx that I didn’t want to use but promised I’d try it, had a reaction, stopped, called back, got a new Rx called in for me. All the while I had just started the new Arbonne hair care line right after my biopsy, like literally 4 days after. I decided I was gonna try it and nothing else. No oil, no Rx, no styling creams, nothing. How’d that work out? Are you on the edge of your seat?? no.. of course not, but I was… lol. I am at one month of using the product and nothing else. I have not had a single flake, scab, itch, rash, dry scalp issue since I started. I also have been working out and taking a bath (but not washing/wetting my hair except around the bottom of the hair line). This USED to destroy me! The moment I opened my pores, sweat, got the hair wet, I was done. I knew I would within the hour be so rashed on my scalp that I would look like a flea ridden dog. I have gone days without washing… up to five days (yeah, yeah, that sounds gross but my hair isn’t greasy, it doesn’t smell, it looks good, I AM SHOCKED!) I wanted to wait a month before I wrote a review b/c if I was going to have a reaction, I would have already. I can honestly say that I am genuinely really impressed. I will be honest and tell you the things I think someone might find a “con” about the product but I personally think is one of the reasons it works for me. It doesn’t suds up much. There doesn’t seem to be a ton of “detergent” in this product and personally I think that’s a good thing. But, having said that, you will use more than you would with another brand. The conditioner is the same way. But, I’ve found that I don’t actually need as much or to have that “all over cream feeling” on my head to do the job. Otherwise, I can’t think of another con. Even the price is good!

I personally have had amazing results with this stuff. I know I have a lot of issues with my hair and scalp but I don’t believe I’m the only kind of person this stuff will work for. Not only is my scalp feeling great but my hair looks good! I never wear my hair down and lately I hardly have it up! It’s a fabulous product that can work for various hair types and not just problem people like myself! It’s the Arbonne True Hair line. I haven’t tried the other products in this line yet. I plan to try the anti-fizz and the leave in treatment but I’m waiting until I need more products (b/c I’m cheap… lol).

Let me know if you have any feedback or questions and I will gladly provide whatever information I can get my hands on. 🙂 I can’t wait to see how it works for you! Please let me know if you try it and what you think. https://www.arbonne.com/Pws/hannahgray/store/AMUS/catalog/Hair,239.aspx
